Pamela McAllister
McAllister Leadership
My work and life passion is in regional communities, where people are actively involved in creating their futures. Beauty found through art, music, nature and new adventures, sustains my passion. I have lived many different careers, in science, administration, disability care, journalism, leadership development, community development and sustainable natural resource management. In this work the principle that guides me is that every person, business and community has the potential to enlarge the well-being of the world as a whole. My current work is to enable people to have the confidence, knowledge, skills and aspiration to contribute their gifts to creating a better world, especially through collaboration. Unwrapping these gifts, enhancing relationships and releasing the creativity and contribution of people and communities, is my purpose. I strive to build my reputation by living true to my values, working from evidence, practising what I espouse and contributing my strengths in partnership with others. I am motivated by complex challenges and contribute in an energetic and positive way to grow people, businesses, industries and communities through collaboration over the long term - learning and adapting together towards solutions. I believe that work must be for a worthy purpose, attractive enough to sustain investment of talent, passion, focus, steadfastness, curiosity, loyalty and support. In this complex world, no one of us has the 'solution' and any perceived solution will be short lived given the reality of rapid change. I believe we can only be successful when we are prepared to work, learn and adapt together - continually. I am most satisfied working with others, sharing and testing diverse thinking, ideas and energies to create results that matter to people and the planet. Focuses of interest include: * Adaptive Leadership * Innovation and Improvement * Systems Thinking * Personal, Organisational and Community Development * Sustainability
